In a bone-chilling incident, an eight-year-old girl was brutally raped by her neighbour. Shockingly, the accused is an elderly man. He lured the little girl on some pretext and committed the heinous crime, family members of the victim alleged.
A rape survivor has been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, where her condition remains critical. This heartbreaking incident occurred in the Bari area of Jajpur.
Meanwhile, the police have not yet arrested the accused, prompting outrage among villagers. Angry residents and the survivor’s relatives are calling for the intervention of the Jajpur Superintendent of Police (SP) and the immediate arrest of the suspect.
“The police have arrested the accused’s son, daughter, nephew, and sister. We seek justice. We urge the SP to conduct a thorough investigation and apprehend the absconding accused,” demanded a relative of the rape survivor.
