Tokyo: Pramod Bhagat, an ace para shuttler from Odisha, won gold in the men's singles SL3 event at the Tokyo Paralympics on Saturday, defeating Daniel Bethell 21-14, 21-17.

Bhagat took 21 minutes to win the first game and 24 minutes to win the second.

Manoj Sarkar, Bhagat's compatriot, earned the bronze medal in the men's singles SL3 after defeating Daisuke Fujihara 22-20, 21-13.
