Balasore: An Odia YouTuber is among six people detained by police in connection with a shooting incident in Odisha's Balasore district.
The arrested individuals also had two pistols, two motorcycles, and seven mobile phones seized by Industrial Area Police.
According to police, the main accused, Udit Nayak, has a YouTube channel called 'Untalented Guy,' and he used to post roasting videos on it.
On Wednesday evening, the YouTuber and some people engaged in a verbal brawl over his video. The argument turned ugly when Udit allegedly opened fire, injuring two people and fleeing the scene, according to witnesses.
A complaint was later filed at the police station, upon which the police registered a case and began an investigation.
A special team was formed to apprehend the accused, and six people, including the prime accused, were arrested and taken to court on Sunday. According to Balasore SP Sagarika Nath, the police also requested that the videos be removed from YouTube.
Efforts are being made to apprehend others involved in the case.
