Three cops in Mathura have been suspended after a video of a shooter from the Bishnoi gang went viral.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Mathura, Shailesh Pandey, has suspended three police personnel after a video statement from Yogesh, a sharpshooter associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, went viral. In the video, Yogesh claimed that his encounter in Mathura was staged and also made statements regarding the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai.

The suspended police personnel are Sub-inspector Ramsanehi, head constable Vipin, and constable Sanjay, who were stationed at the Refinery police station where Yogesh was in custody.

Yogesh, who is involved in a murder case in Delhi, was apprehended by the Delhi Special Cell and Mathura Police in a joint operation on Thursday. He is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi-Hashim Baba gang and was wanted in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old gym owner in Delhi.

Following the arrest, SSP Shailesh Pandey stated, "In a joint operation with the Delhi Special Cell team, a sharpshooter named Yogesh, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was injured in an encounter. He is wanted in a murder case in Delhi."

The victim, identified as Nadir Shah, was killed in public view in South Delhi on September 12.

In a separate incident, there have been fresh death threats against Bollywood actor Salman Khan, leading to increased security at his residence. The threats demand an extortion payment of ₹5 crore and are believed to be related to a long-standing rivalry with Lawrence Bishnoi.

The threatening messages, allegedly from a person close to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, warned of danger to Salman Khan's life if the extortion money is not paid.

The threats came after the recent murder of Nationalist Congress Party leader Baba Siddique, who was assassinated outside his office on October 12. As a result, the police have intensified their search for the suspects involved in Siddique's death.

A look-out circular has been issued for Shubham Lonkar, along with two additional suspects, Shiv Kumar Gautam and Zeeshan Akhtar, who are believed to be attempting to flee to Nepa
