ACF MURDER MYSTERY: Mother, Widow denies On Extra-Marital Affair Claim

Balasore: Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, the deceased Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF), had an extramarital affair?

While the ACF's widow, Bidyabharati Panda, claimed him of infidelity on Tuesday, Tulasi Mohapatra, his heartbroken mother, rejected the accusation.

“My daughter-in-law’s allegation against my son is fabricated and baseless. My son never had a relationship with any woman. Before his marriage, he used to tell me to find a bride for him. I had told him that as he has several female friends who were studying with him and he could choose to marry one of them. But my son said he couldn’t do so because they were like his sisters who tied rakhi on his hands,” Tulasi told the media.

“If my son was having an affair after his marriage, he would not have stayed with Bidya for the past seven months. My daughter-in-law has brought up the false charge so that she could escape unscathed from the crime she has committed,” the mother added.

Abhiram Mohapatra, the ACF's father, echoed this accusation and accused his daughter-in-law of acting suspiciously. “She did not demonstrate any hurry to admit my son to the hospital, despite the fact that he was gravely burned. She was instead busy gathering her ornaments from my son's house,” Abhiram explained.

“You can see her body language. She was looking tense and bewildered. Being a wife, there was no sign of any morose on her face even when her husband was battling for his life,” he added.
