Bhubaneswar: In the case of Paralakhemundi ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra's strange death, Akshaya Kumar Jagat was one of several names that surfaced.

In the diary of the ACF's wife, Bidyabharati Panda, a main suspect in the case, his name was mentioned.

Akshaya, a Nabarangpur native, said he and Bidyabharati were classmates at the Livestock Inspectors' Training Centre.

“I haven't spoken to her since the training centre closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak in March of last year,” he continued.
