Bhubaneswar: On Monday, a young farmer was said to have drowned after falling into a drain near Moramarasingh village in Odisha's Khurda district's Nuagarh Panchayat.
The event occurred as Kambeswar Pattsani (29) was visiting his farmland, according to sources. He was washed away after accidently falling into the drain.
He'd been married for six months. The villagers have demanding that the bereaved family be compensated.
Meanwhile, after getting swept away in rainfall on a makeshift road between Ambapali and Bargarh, a biker was recovered by locals. Hundreds of people utilised the makeshift road along the Jeera river on a regular basis, according to sources.
In particular, severe rains in Odisha since Saturday night have caused a flood-like situation, with key rivers' water levels rising.
