Jai Kiran Samman Conferred On Freedom-Fighter Shanti Das

Bhubaneswar: As part of the 10th Jai Kiran Award Ceremony at Rabindra Mandap, the Jai Kiran Trust congratulated liberation warrior Shanti Das on sunday.

President Shaswati Bal, for his contribution to the independence movement, awarded the Jai Kiran Samman to the freedom warrior Shanti Das. The Late Jayakrishna Mohanty and Late Kiran Lekha Mohanty have been awarded as the yearly award.

The foundation also awarded Odissi Guru Gopal Chandra Panda and Guru Gangadhar Pradhan two more prizes. Shikta Das was awarded the Odissi Dance Award and Lata Ghosh was awarded the music prize.

The event included MLA Devi Prasad Mishra and Pramila Malik.
