Vigilance Books PET Teacher For Amassing DA Worth Rs 4.67 Cr

Bhubaneswar: Physical education teacher Danardan Sahu, who works at Sri Dibyasimha Bidyapitha in Jayantipur in the Ganjam district of Odisha, is said to have disproportionate assets (DA) worth Rs 4.67 crore.
On Friday, surveillance teams carried out raids at 13 locations connected to Sahu.
Sahu was being scrutinised, according to Vigilance officers, to determine the source of his assets.
The following properties were searched:
* One three-story building at Anantanagar, Berhampur
* One two-story building at Anantanagar, Berhampur
* One two-story building in Jayantipur, Ganjam
* Four businesses and a one-story building at Jayantipur, Ganjam
* One double-story building at Jayantipur, Ganjam where post office is functioning
* Balrampur, Ganjam has one market complex with seven stores.
* A godown in Jayantipur, Ganjam, was discovered to be storing 200 packets of jaggery and 500 packets of sugar (each weighing 50 kg), which are thought to be the raw materials used to make alcohol. Sahu's involvement in the production and selling of alcohol is being confirmed
