Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class X results on Tuesday, and the Bhubaneswar area came in eighth place.

Trivandrum, out of the country's 16 regions, was the best performer this year, with a 99.99 percent success rate. In the 2020 Board examinations, the area got the highest passing percentage of 99.28.

In Odisha, 99.21% of students passed this year, whereas in Bhubaneswar, the percentage is 99.62 percent. The exam was passed by 43,288 students out of a total of 43,630 who took it throughout the state.

This year, a record 99.04% of students passed the Board examinations in the country. It saw a jump of over 8 percentage points from the last year’s 91.46%.

Besides, the number of students getting marks over 90% has also gone up. As many as 2,00,962 students have scored more than 90% marks in the examination. Total 57,824 students have got 95% and above marks this year.
