Bhubaneswar has once again witnessed an incident where two youths were hit at Master Canteen Square.

At least two individuals sustained critical injuries after being struck by a Mo Bus in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. The victims, Ranjit Behera and Hrudananda Mohanty, were waiting for an auto-rickshaw at Master Canteen Square when the accident occurred.
Ranjit Behera suffered injuries to his right leg, while Hrudananda Mohanty sustained injuries to his shoulder and waist. According to sources, both had just arrived in Bhubaneswar from Puri when the incident took place.
Following the accident, the injured men were swiftly transported to Capital Hospital for treatment. Both Ranjit and Hrudananda have accused the bus driver of reckless driving, which they believe led to the accident.
“A Mo Bus driver and other staff members assaulted us after the incident. We had come to Bhubaneswar from Puri for some court-related matters,” alleged a relative of the injured.
Investigation Underway
Local authorities are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the accident. Meanwhile, residents have expressed concerns over the need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws to prevent future incidents.
Mo Bus and Accidents
The recent accident has intensified discussions about safety measures and allegations of reckless driving by Mo Bus drivers in Bhubaneswar. Earlier this year, two women were seriously injured in a Mo Bus accident at Chandrasekharpur BDA Square on February 6.
On February 4, tensions arose in the Raghunathpur area within Nandankanan police limits after a Mo Bus allegedly struck and killed a minor girl. Additionally, on January 4, at least four individuals sustained injuries, and several vehicles were damaged in a series of accidents caused by a Mo Bus near Raj Mahal Square in Bhubaneswar.
