Heavy rainfall over north Odisha in next 12 hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy rain in three North Odisha districts on Saturday and Sunday due to a cyclonic circulation, which is anticipated to reach the Northwest Bay of Bengal off the north Odisha-West Bengal coastlines in the next 12 hours.
Up to 5.8 km above sea level, it presently covers much of eastern and central India and the adjacent Northeast Bay of Bengal.
Bhadrak, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj are under a yellow rain alert from the Met Office for the mornings of September 18 and 19.
There is a good chance of heavy rain in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapada from September 19 to 20 morning in Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri and Nayagarh in Dhenkanal and Keonjhar in Mayurbhanj in Sundargarh in Kandhamal and Malkangiri in Koraput.
On the mornings of September 20th and 21st, areas of Sundargarh, Balangir, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, and Sonepur are likely to get significant rainfall.
