Girl found hanging inside lodge in Bhubaneswar, family cries foulplay
A day after a young girl, Subhalaxmi Sahu of Kuabagh Sahi in Bhadrak district, was discovered dead in a hotel room in Bhubaneswar under mysterious circumstances, her family members claimed on Sunday that she was murdered and later hanged to pass it off as a suicide case.

"She left home and told us that she would stay with her friends there," her father, Ramesh Chandra Sahu, told the media.
"She was attending RD University in the city and had informed her family that she was staying with friends in the shambles." We have no idea why she went to the hotel. "How can a person sitting on a bed hang himself?" enquired a relative.
The girl checked into a hotel near Laxmisagar Square on Cuttack-Puri Road in the city around 3.30 a.m., according to sources. She reserved a room and took the key. When she did not leave her room until the evening, the hotel staff became suspicious and knocked on the door. They opened the door with the master key after failing to receive a response. Subhalaxmi was discovered hanging from the ceiling fan with her stole.
The body was taken into custody by police this morning in the presence of her family members. The postmortem is being performed at Capital Hospital. The hotel manager is being questioned, and the footage from the CCTV camera installed there is also being examined. The mobile phone of the deceased has been seized and it can shed light on circumstances leading to the incident, the sources added.
