"Threats to Rahul Gandhi: Odisha Congress takes to the streets in Bhubaneswar, demanding action."

Hundreds of Congress workers gathered at the party's headquarters in Bhubaneswar to protest against death threats made against Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi on Thursday. The protestors marched from Congress Bhawan to Kharvel Nagar and filed a police complaint against BJP leaders for their alleged derogatory remarks and death threats targeting Rahul Gandhi.

In the complaint, Odisha Congress requested that an FIR be registered against Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, UP Minister Raghuraj Singh, BJP functionary Tarvinder Singh Marwah, and Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad.

Cuttack Barabati MLA Sofia Firdous stated, "Congress has grown stronger since Rahul Gandhi became the Leader of Opposition. As the Opposition, we have successfully prevented the implementation of controversial schemes such as the UPSC lateral entry and changes to the creamy layer in the SC/ST quota. Now, since they are unable to push through the schemes they desire, their Cabinet Ministers, MPs, and MLAs are resorting to personal attacks on Rahul Gandhi, which is unacceptable."

She further added, "Personal attacks are not acceptable in politics. However, they are issuing death threats and announcing bounties to kill Rahul Gandhi. This is pure hatred, and we condemn it."

On the other hand, the BJP accused Rahul Gandhi of making anti-India statements during his travels abroad. "Rahul Gandhi recently made statements regarding Sikhs when he was in America. Every time he goes abroad, he makes anti-India statements on global platforms. Therefore, Congress should apologize to the people of India. Now, Congress is only putting on these acts to save face," said Biranchi Narayan Tripathy, vice-president of the state BJP.

It's worth mentioning that Marwah recently issued a threat, saying, "Rahul, you better behave, or you will meet the same fate as your grandmother."

Similarly, Gaikwad announced a bounty of Rs 11 lakh for anyone who cuts Rahul’s tongue. Bittu, on the other hand, called Rahul Gandhi the 'number one terrorist of the country'.
