Three terrorists were killed in a Baramulla encounter, and search operations are ongoing.
The search operation is still in progress as the terrorists remain trapped inside a school building.

In an encounter at Chak Tappar area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials reported that three terrorists were killed. According to an official from the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), two additional unidentified terrorists were also killed in the Chak Tappar encounter, bringing the total number of slain terrorists to three. Initially, one terrorist was reported to have been killed.
Earlier reports indicated that a joint team of Army’s 29 RR, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a cordon and search operation in Chak Tappar village of Pattan in Baramulla district based on credible information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
As the joint team approached the suspected location, the terrorists hiding there opened fire on the security forces, leading to an encounter.
