12 BJP leaders suspended for anti-party activities in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: As part of a disciplinary proceeding, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suspended 12 people from various party posts in the state on Sunday.
According to a BJP news statement, state president Samir Mohanty has suspended the party's 12 leaders from membership for anti-party activities and violating party discipline, based on the recommendations of district presidents.
Suspension orders have been issued for the following leaders:
- Koraput district executive committee member Dilip Swain
- Sunabeda municipality leader Rajendra Kumar Patra
- Rayagada district Mahila Morcha secretary Sujata Patnaik
- Rayagada district executive committee member B Gangadhar
- Nabarangpur Municipality leader Malaya Jena and Mahila Morcha general secretary Babita Sahu
- Sundargarh executive committee member Dr Himanshu Sarangi
- Sundargarh district OBC Morcha vice-president Baikuntha Bananthar
- Sundargarch town president (SC Morcha) Mahesh Tanti
- Former mandal president of Tusra in Balangir district Amaresh Kedia
- Former Jharsuguda district secretary Manoj Agarwal
- Nuapada district general secretary (SC Morcha) Nimai Charan Tandi
