The 20th National Level Handloom Expo launched in Odisha's capital with the goal of providing an opportunity to sell the country's various handloom products.

Bhubaneswar: The 20th National Level Handloom Expo launched in Odisha's capital with the goal of providing an opportunity to sell the country's various handloom products.

It will also allow our state weavers to engage and trade their talents and techniques, as well as examine the color and design patterns prevalent in different states' modern markets.

The Odisha State Handloom Weavers Co-op Society Ltd, also known as Boyanika, is hosting the National Level Handloom Expo at Unit-III IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar to help weavers earn a living by offering a single platform for marketing their handloom products.

Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts department Principal Secretary Arabinda Padhee inaugurated the expo in the presence of eminent sculptor Sudarshan Sahoo, Boyanika Managing Director Pranati Chhotray and Boyanika president Prakash Chandra Meher.

The handloom exhibition will continue till October 8. People can visit the expo from 11.30 am to 9.30 pm every day, said an official.

This expo is sponsored by Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department of Odisha. Leading PWCS of our state, leading handloom organisations – Apex & Corporations and major handloom clusters from different states of the country are participating in this Expo.

Around 170 participants from Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Haryana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Telangana, Bihar & Odisha have participated in this expo.

Boyanika is working as the implementing agency and committed to the socio-economic development of the weavers of the state. This organisation is implementing various developmental programmes for the welfare of weavers.
