Koenjhar: The Prime Accused in the suspected bombing at Keonjhar MLA Mohan Majhi was apprehended by police on Monday.
The Raghunath Panda was recognised by Police sources. On 14 October five individuals – Pratap Rout, Bidyadhar Parida alias Buta, Manmohan Das alias Muna, Sarat Jena alias Mitua and Sikhul Sheik – were detained for suspected involvement in the shooting of two explosives in his car.
However, in the event, the police had ruled out any political rivalry. The attack on the lawmaker has been the result of an earlier hostility in relation to the financial transactions and personal problems with Bidyadhar Parida and Manmohan Das.
