Malkangiri: On Tuesday, a 6-foot python was rescued from a Malkangiri College classroom.
According to accounts, when students in the college's English Honours class arrived in their classroom, they discovered a large snake sleeping on a bench. They raced out of the room, terrified, and informed the college administration about the snake.
Snake Helpline members led by Satyajit Gouda went to the campus after being alerted. Satyajit carefully collected the snake after identifying it as a python and placed it in a bag. The snake, which was 6 feet long and weighted around 15 kilogrammes, was around 6 feet long and weighed around 15 kilogrammes.
Satyajit told the reporters that the rescued python had been reported to the Forest Department, and that it would be released in a nearby forest after being examined by veterinary professionals.
