Banks To Remain Closed For Two Consecutive Days

Bhubaneswar: Banks and other banks will stay closed to two major festivals for two consecutive days.

On the occasion of 'Eid Milad,' and on Wednesday 20th for 'Gajalaxmi Puja,' also held as Kumar Purnima, the banks will stay close on October 19 (Tuesday).

On Monday, the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management said this.

The two holidays for banks were proclaimed by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs on June 8, 1957 in accordance with the explanation of sections 25 of the Law on Negotiable Instruments of 1881 (centre Act XXVI of 1881).
