Varsity Student Killed As Vehicle Carrying Ganesh Idol Comes In Contact With 11 KV Wire in Cuttack
On Tuesday, a student died and two others were critically injured after coming into contact with an 11kv electric line while transporting the statue of Lord Ganesh to a private institution near Naraj in Odisha's Cuttack city.

Cuttack: On Tuesday, a student died and two others were critically injured after coming into contact with an 11kv electric line while transporting the statue of Lord Ganesh to a private institution near Naraj in Odisha's Cuttack city.
According to sources, the event occurred after approximately 6-7 students picked up the idol from Godisahi Bazaar and transported it to the college in a tractor to celebrate Ganesh Chatruthi. The vehicle was charged after the red flag on the idol made contact with an 11 kv wire on campus, killing a student on the spot. Others on the vehicle were also hurt.
According to the sources, the injured were brought to a private hospital here for treatment.
