Cuttack: On Wednesday, the second round of mediation between actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty and estranged Ollywood pair Varsha Priyadarshini, who have been embroiled in a court battle since last year, remained inconclusive.

Anubhav is also said to have filed a case in the Family Court here, accusing Varsha of contempt of court. Thursday has been set as the day for the next hearing. Further conciliation will be held at a later date because MP would be travelling for New Delhi on Thursday to attend the monsoon session of Parliament, sources said.

Notably, on July 9, the Family Court, which is hearing Anubhav's divorce case, ordered the couple to undergo counselling.

Following a Supreme Court judgement on March 5 this year, the divorce suit filed in Patiala House Court in New Delhi on July 6, 2020, was transferred to the court in Cuttack.

Since the breach in their relationship became public last year, the couple has been squabbling in public and on social media.

Anubhav was accused on June 24 of skipping the hearing in her Domestic Violence case, which she had filed in the SDJM court in Cuttack on August 7, 2020.

R K Rath, Varsha's lawyer, said that Anubhav was ignoring legal procedures and abusing his status as an MP.
