Berhampur: We often hear of "miracle children," and Aarav Patnaik Das of Berhampur appears to be one of them. The India Book of Records praised him for his excellent recall and diverse abilities.

At the tender age of four years and four months, Siddhartha Das and Banya Patnaik's son won a certificate and medal for filling in the gaps, spellings of many words, basic maths, and memorising English alphabets in right and reverse sequence with words.

Aarav, who was born on January 24, 2017, achieved the record on May 19, 2021, by reciting more than 30 rhymes, numbers 1-100, and 100-1, as well as answering 30 general knowledge questions. Aarav's abilities were recorded by the India Book of Records adjudicators.

Aarav is a student at the city's De Paul School, and his mother is a teacher at the same school. They live in Nilanchal Nagar.

“Aarav has immense interest in study. I don’t force him to study but I always guide him. He does self study for hours with patience and is very fluent in English with good memory power at such a tender age,” said her mother.
