Independence Day: 25 firefighters received the DG's Disc

Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of Independence Day on Sunday, 25 Odisha Fire Service employees received the DG's Fire Service Disc for exceptional and meritorious service.
M Akhaya, Director-General of Fire Services, received the Disc.
The Disc can be given out at any time during the calendar year, regardless of whether the firefighter has won any cash or other honours that year.
Every year, 30 Fire Service members will be granted the DG's Fire Service Disc, according to Akhaya, who praised the state government's decision to introduce the honour. He went on to say, "This honour will push Fire Service members to strive for excellence in their service in the future."
The DG's Fire Service Disc was presented to the following 25 officers and personnel.
