Another Tourism Spot To Eco Retreat Destinations added in Odisha
Kendrapada: In addition to the Odisha eco retreat map, the Tourism Department has included another location. It was planned in Pentha district Kendrapada to have an eco-retreat festival.
This would be the second site after Bhitarkanika district to host an eco-retreat.
District Tourism officers announced that the festival will start on November 15th as a three-and-a-half month event. 15 luxurious tents for visitors are to be pitched.
The additional attraction, said Sub-collector Niranjan Behera, will be cultural and cuisine festivals, and mangrove trekking.
In Nalitapatia, adjacent to Bhitarkanika National Park, a 3-month eco-retreat festival was held last year.
Booking for lodging on line is shortly to commence, revealed Himalaya Tripathy district tourist officer and stated that the camp is beside the well-looking forest covered by mangroves and casuarinas.
The festival can produce revenue for local residents. During the event will also be conducted a picture display, a film seminar exhibition about Bhitarkanika and its rich fauna and flora.
Rajnagar MLA Dhruba Sahoo stated Pentha Beach is yet unfathomed, and such a festival will increase the revenue of its residents.
The state organised environmental retreat celebrations at Konark, Bhitarkanika, Hirakud, Satkosia and Daringbadi which attracted enormous crowds.
