More than 60 Odisha students have arrived in Delhi from the Ukraine

Bhubaneswar: On Friday, an evacuation flight to Ukraine to rescue Indian nationals trapped in the war-torn country returned with 60 additional students from Odisha. They arrived in Delhi this morning and were brought to Odisha Bhawan.

For the previous ten days, the kids had to live in bunkers and shelters with bombs exploding all around them. They, on the other hand, raised concerns about the safety of their friends who remain trapped in the troubled country.

Three more Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft returned to Hindan airport late last night and early this morning, using Romanian and Hungarian airfields. Under Operation Ganga, 18 more flights have been put into duty.

After enduring seven traumatic days in the land decimated by the Russian invasion, nine Odia students arrived in Bhubaneswar on an Air India flight on Thursday. They are all Ternopil National Medical University students (TNMU).

On Thursday, the Odisha government successfully evacuated 25 first-year students from a shelter at Sanatoriy Roshcha in Pesochyn by arranging two buses in collaboration with a state-based commercial agency that had transported them to the medical institute.

On the same day, another group of 25 state students made it to the Poland border. They are currently in the Polish city of Rzeszów, waiting to board an aircraft to India, according to the report.

At least 425 Odisha students were in Ukraine when Russia commenced its military campaign, with 28 students returning to India between Friday and Wednesday midday, according to sources.
