Paradip: On Thursday, PL Haranadh assumed the position of Chairman of Paradip Port Trust (PPT).
Haranadh emphasised during his term making PPT No. 1 a significant port in the nation and sought the collaboration of all stakeholders to achieve this objective.
He emphasised the necessity of completing several future PPT projects, notably the massive Western Dock project.
Over 27 years, Haranadh has been with the shipping ministry on Indian Railways for 22 years and 5 years.
In 2002 and 2005, he was a winner of the National Award for Excellent Management by the Railway Ministry.
He has been working in 2015-2020 as Vice President of the Port of Visakhapatnam. Innovative marketing strategies such as comprehensive logistic solutions were developed to entice clients to commodities such as coal and containers. Overall expansion of the port of Visakhapatnam was driven by his term, and the port grew to 3rd place among the main Port areas.
