New Delhi: From January 3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that children aged 15 to 18 shall be immunised.

In his Saturday night address to the nation, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also announced that "precaution dosages" for healthcare and frontline personnel will begin on January 10. From January 10, those over 60 who have other health problems will receive additional dosages.

The decision, according to the Prime Minister, was reached after consultation with scientists and experts.

"Coronavirus is still present. We must remain vigilant and careful. "Everyone in the world is talking about Omicron," Prime Minister Modi said.
