Puri: Tomorrow in Puri, the annual nine-day Rath Yatra event will get underway. Many thousands of devotees are anticipated to gather in the pilgrim town to take in the spectacular festival.

The Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhdra, and Devi Subhadra will be conducted smoothly thanks to the strict security measures that have been put in place.

The three chariots are prepared for tomorrow's huge event. Following a series of rites, the worshippers will draw the chariots bearing the gods to the Gundicha shrine.

Over 1,000 officials and up to 180 police platoons would be stationed in and around Puri throughout the event. The town is mobilising a sufficient number of police officers to ensure that worshippers can safely view the deities.

Similar to this, the Health Department has taken a number of steps to ensure that this year's Rath Yatra is healthy. During the big event, the Department would send around 200 physicians and other medical professionals to Puri.

During the event, up to 145 doctors, 40 pharmacists, 45 health officers, 30 nursing officers, and more than 121 other health professionals would be needed.
