SUV hits truck in Kalahandi; 4 killed, 7 injured

Bhawanipatna: At least four people were murdered and seven others were injured when their SUV collided with a truck late Monday night in Odisha's Kalahandi district.
According to sources, the collision occurred on National Highway (NH)-217 near Turlakhaman, under the jurisdiction of the Kesinga police station.
After attending a wedding in Pipalpadar, the victims were returning to Siskela in Bolangir. They were on their way in a Bolero.
Three ladies were among the dead. The injured were taken to Kesinga Hospital and then to Bhawanipatna's District Headquarters Hospital. Their situation is described as critical. A youngster was taken to the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla after being hurt.
