It also recently took home the best documentary award at the Texas Indian Film Festival.

The UK premiere of ‘Shut Up Sona' will take place at Sheffield Doc/Fest, the country's foremost documentary festival.

Deepti Gupta directed the national award-winning documentary. It follows the singer for more than three years as she fights for equal rights in the Indian entertainment industry as a female artist.

‘Shut Up Sona' has been winning awards at prominent film festivals all around the world since its completion.
