Koraput: On Friday, an undertrial prisoner at the Jeypore sub-jail in Odisha's Koraput district died under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased, identified as Kamalu Lochan Dandsena of Siadimal village in the district's Jeypore block, had been imprisoned since 2018.
According to sources, Dandsena was taken to the hospital after complaining of chest pain, but doctors pronounced him dead. The precise cause of his death has yet to be determined.
The UTP was arrested in connection with a rape and murder case.
On Thursday, a 72-year-old undertrial prisoner at the Choudwar Circle Jail in the Cuttack district died.
