Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-profile roundtable with top American technology CEOs in New York. The meeting, hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering, focused on innovation, collaboration, and India's growing tech space. CEOs from companies specializing in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology participated in the roundtable, including Sundar Pichai from Google, Jensen Huang from Nvidia, and Shantanu Narayen from Adobe.
Prime Minister Modi also posted about the meeting on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the discussion on technology, innovation, and India's progress in the field. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that the roundtable emphasized cutting-edge sectors such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computing, biotechnology, and semiconductor technologies.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi emphasized India's policy to promote 'AI for All' and its commitment to protecting intellectual property. He encouraged the CEOs to capitalize on India's growth trajectory and explore opportunities to invest in India's startup ecosystem. The meeting also discussed the potential for American companies to enter the Indian market through startups and contribute to creating new technologies and solutions.
MIT Professor Anantha Chandrakasan, who chaired the session, thanked PM Modi and the participating CEOs for their contributions and affirmed MIT's commitment to using technology for global good and advancing collaboration between the United States and India in critical technology sectors.
