IIS officer Akhil Kumar Mishra has assumed charge as the ADG of PIB Bhubaneswar.

Akhil Kumar Mishra, a 1999-batch Indian Information Service (IIS) officer, took charge as the Additional Director General of Press Information Bureau (PIB) and Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) in Bhubaneswar, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Monday.
He will also serve as the Additional Press Registrar General of Odisha state and will hold the additional charge of the Jharkhand region, according to a PIB release.
Mishra has previously held key positions in All India Radio, Doordarshan, Central Board of Film Certification, PIB, and CBC. He has also conducted research at the University of Berkeley and Maryland in the USA, as well as Queensland in Australia. Additionally, his poetic works have been widely appreciated by readers.
