A mother and daughter fell from a moving train in Rayagada, resulting in the amputation of their limbs.

In a shocking incident, a woman and her four-year-old daughter sustained critical injuries after falling from a running train in Odisha early on Friday morning.

According to reports, the incident took place at the Singapur Road railway station. The victims have been identified as Ratika Chandana and her daughter Hastini Chandana.
Daughter Hastini Chandana. The injured mother and the daughter were initially taken to the Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) but later transferred to Berhampur MKCG Medical College and Hospital as their condition worsened.
Ratika Chandana suffered a fracture on her left leg, while her two hands and the other leg were severed in the accident. Hastini Chandana had her right hand and leg amputated.
The mother-daughter duo, along with husband Chaitanya Chandana, who are residents of Kanijhuri in Titlagarh, had gone to attend the last rites of a relative at Jinjili Baadi in Rayagada district two days ago. The accident occurred on Friday while they were returning home.
