Bhubaneswar: On Wednesday, miscreants allegedly looted gold jewellery from a jewellery shop in the Janla neighbourhood of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, at gunpoint.
The shoplifting incident occurred in Janla's Sagarika Jewellery.
According to reports, the two criminals arrived at the shop on a red Splendor motorcycle and opened fire while being pursued by locals after stealing the jewellery store.
The entire looting episode was filmed on the shop's surveillance camera.
After receiving the information, Jatani police officers arrived at the business with the forensic unit, Zone SP, and began an investigation based on the CCTV footage.
The preliminary investigation has shown that gold jewellery worth Rs 20 lakhs has been stolen.
