Dhenakanal: Two women were killed in a wild elephant attack in Bhagua Sahi, Dhenkanal district's Hindol area.
The incident occurred while the two women were on their way to the forest to collect mahua flowers near Baghua Sahi. They were attacked by jumbos inside the forest.
Both women died on the spot as a result of the attack, and their bodies were discovered by locals.
Putu Samal and Agari Majhi of Dudurupada village have been identified as the victims.
When they were informed, Hindol forest department officials rushed to the scene and launched an investigation into the incident. More information is awaited.
