Cuttack: On Friday, a 60-year-old woman died after falling into a septic tank while picking flowers in the Jobra area of Cuttack, Odisha.
Jayanti Rout has been identified as the deceased.
According to reports, the woman died accidentally when the slab on which she was standing caved in while she was collecting flowers from a tree behind her house around 5 a.m. A pile of peddles kept nearby fell on her, knocking her unconscious.
After being notified, Chauliaganj Fire Services personnel rushed to the scene and rescued her. She was rushed to SCB Medical College & Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
