96.4% students pass Odisha Matric exam; girls outshine boys again

This year, 96.19% of students passed the annual matriculation examination, according to the results announced by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, around 10 a.m. on Thursday at its office in the presence of Minister Pramila Mallik.

Bhubaneswar: This year, 96.19% of students passed the annual matriculation examination, according to the results announced by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, around 10 a.m. on Thursday at its office in the presence of Minister Pramila Mallik.

According to sources, 5,12,460 of the 5,21,444 students who took the exams passed. A total of 4158 students received an A1 grade, 29855 received an A2 grade, 77762 received a B1 grade, and 119120 received a B2 grade.

Girls once again outperformed boys in the exam, with a pass percentage of 97.05 to 95.75. While 2,53,633 boys passed the exam, 2,58,827 girls did. 

Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur were named the best performing districts this year, with 97.99 percent pass rates. Malkangiri district had the lowest pass rate of 92.63 percent. 3,222 high schools have achieved perfect attendance.

After 12 p.m., the score cards will be available on the official websites bseodisha.ac.in and bseodisha.nic.in. Students can access their results by entering their roll number and date of birth into orissaresults.nic.in. Additionally, they can download their scoreboards from the website. They will also be able to view their results by texting OR10Roll Number to 5676750.

From March 10 to 20, the annual High School Certificate (HSC) Summative Assessment-II examination 2023 was held. In total, 5.32 lakh students took the high school diploma exam at 3,218 examination centers across the state. The board released the Summative Assessment I results in January.

In 2022, the overall pass rate was 90.55 percent, with 8,119 students receiving A1 grades and 54,889 receiving A2 grades.

According to the sources, BSE Odisha will soon release the schedule for supplementary exams.
