ACF Death: Crime Branch to interrogate Bidyabharati rescheduled
Cuttack: The interrogation of Bidyabharati Panda, wife of dead Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, has been rescheduled by the Crime Branch.
On Wednesday, Crime Branch ADG Sanjeeb Panda told the reporters that Bidyabharati would be interrogated on Thursday.
“Today, the statement of the ACF's family members will be recorded in their home in Begunia village, Khaira block, Balasore district. The team will spend the night at the district headquarters before heading to Mayurbhanj district to question Bidyabharati at her home in Goudagan village, Kaptipada block,” he said.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, a four-person Crime Branch squad arrived at the ACF's home.
According to sources, the team will cross-check the family members' statements with those recorded earlier by the investigating officer (IO) and the IIC of Paralakhemundi Police Station Bibekanand Swain.
