Army Jawan's Body Brought To His Village In Odisha

Baripada: On Saturday, the body of an Indian Army jawan found dead near a train track in Haryana was carried to his village in the Mayurbhanj district.

Subedar Chandrakant Sejapada of Khanua village, Badasahi police limits, Mayurbhanj district, had returned to his village for his sister's wedding after being stationed in Rajasthan. He had returned to his station of posting in train on May 9 when the marriage was over.

Because he did not report for duty on time, Army officials attempted to contact him by phone but received no answer. When they called his relatives, they were informed that he had already departed the village.

After identifying Chandrakant from his uniform, the Government Railway Police (GRP) discovered his body near the train track in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, on Wednesday and contacted the Army authorities.

The Army personnel handed over the remains to his family members for last rites on Saturday after following the proper procedure.

Chandrakant's family said there was no motive for him to commit suicide because the cause of his death has yet to be determined. They assumed he had been murdered and asked that the perpetrators be identified.
