Bhubaneswar: Cuttack District Congress Committee President Manas Choudhury remarked the BJD after they announced mayor candidate for three Municipal Corporation.
He said even after 21 years of rule, the BJD has neither good politicians nor good workers in the state".
"After the panchayat elections, comes the municipality election. However, the BJD, which has been in power for 22 years has not found a candidate from his own party. In Cuttack, BJD has announced Subash Singh as its candidate for mayor. Mr. Singh is a staunch leader, but he came from the Communist Party. In other words, the BJD has not been able to create a leader in its party to run for mayor in Cuttack", Manas said.
Choudhury added that the BJD had declared Sulochana Das as the party’s mayor candidate for the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation. She was a capable leader of the Congress party, later she joined the BJD. It can also be said that their is no qualified leader within the BJD to run for mayor in Bhubaneswar.
Congress leader also mentioned that Sanghamitra Dalei, who fielded a BJD mayor candidate in Berhampur, was also in Congress. This means that even during the 22 years of the Chief Minister's rule, the BJD has not been able to create a leader in his own party.
"The announcement makes it clear that the BJD considers the leaders and workers of the Congress party are more worthy and efficient than his own party members", he summed up.
Today, it is clear that the Congress leaders are good and the Congress workers are good. BJD is solely winning the election on the ground of black money. The only reliable party is Congress and everyone need to understand that.
