Former Minister Anjali Behera has filed a nomination for the Panchayat Elections

Dhenkanal: Anjali Behera, a former Odisha minister and three-time BJD MLA from Hindol, has filed her nomination for the post of panchayat samiti member in Dhenkanal district's Giridhar Prasad.
She served as a two-time minister of Odisha, holding major positions such as Handloom and the Women's and Child Welfare Department.
She was reported in publications as stating, "Contesting in the panchayat polls will offer me an opportunity to be closer to the grassroots."
In 2014, the BJD suspended her for alleged anti-party activity. She afterwards joined the BJP.
