Gas tanker overturns in Kalahandi; locals evacuated

Kalahandi: On Sunday morning, a gas truck overturned on National Highway-16 near Pastipada in Odisha's Kalahandi district.
According to sources, the car was on its way to Raipur from Bhawanipatna, and the national highway had to be closed on both sides for security reasons following the tragedy, which injured both the driver and the helper.
Firefighters were quickly dispatched to the scene to take the appropriate action.
As a precaution, the district administration cut off the area's electricity supply. Locals were warned not to use cooking gas or stoves.
According to the sources, an expert team has been called in to drain the gas from the tank.
