Fake B.ed college busted in Jajpur, 3 arrested

Jajpur: At least 40 students from Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Khurda districts were surprised to hear that they had been misled and robbed badly by a B.Ed training institution with branches in Bhadrak and Danagadi during the last academic session (2020-21).

According to reports, a few students who paid more than Rs 30,000 each for admission to the one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course at Andhra Pradesh's Nagarjuna University realised they had been duped when they were taken to appear in their annual examination in the neighbouring state on September 14 with fake admit cards. The pupils were not eligible to take the exam, which was rescheduled for September 17.

The students, including Jajpur's Sagarika Sahu and Bhadrak's Subhasri Panigrahi, claim they were transported to an Andhra Pradesh godown and told to do their exams despite the fact that they had nothing to do with the university.

Danagadi police detained the bogus B.Ed institution owner and his friends and impounded their bus after receiving a complaint from the victims.
