Low Pressure: IMD issues orange warning to 8 districts
Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level across Bangladesh and the surrounding area, shifting southwestward as height persists. Over the following 48 hours, a low-pressure region is predicted to emerge over north Odisha and the surrounding area due to its effect.
Eight districts have received orange warnings from the Meteorological Center in Bhubaneswar until Monday at 8:30 am.
The Meteorological Center forecasted that "heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two spots over the districts of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, and Angul."
13 districts have also received yellow waring from the MeT. "Heavy rain is expected to fall in one or two locations over Boudh districts,
According to the Meteorological Center in Bhubaneswar, the areas affected were Kalahandi, Balangir, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, and Balasore.
