Missing Husband of Odisha Samiti Member Candidate Rescued In Critical Condition

Dhenkanal: Chinmay Das, the husband of Samiti member candidate Bharati Rath for Sankulei Panchayat in Odisha's Dhenkanal district, was rescued in an unconscious state from field near Bajichowk inside Town police limits on Friday after being missing since Wednesday night.
In a critical condition, he was admitted to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) here.
Chinmay, a Kumardeipur native, had departed on a two-wheeler towards Bebarta Kateni for some employment after dropping his wife home after electioneering. Later, he informed her wife that he had been thrashed by several miscreants in the middle of the journey. Following that, his phone was discovered turned off.
The next morning, his vehicle was discovered with bloodstains on the Dholpasi-Sankulei route. After his wife filed a missing person report the same day, Sadar Police initiated a search operation.
This panchayat's voting began at 7 a.m. on Friday.
