Bhubaneswar: The government stated on Wednesday that Ashwini Vaishnaw, a BJP Rajya Sabha member from Odisha, has been assigned to the Ministry of Railways and would also be in charge of the Ministries of Communications, Electronics, and Information Technology.

Following today's Cabinet reshuffle, Rajya Sabha member Dharmendra Pradhan, who was in charge of the Petroleum Ministry, was assigned the Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship portfolios. Hardeep Singh Puri is the minister of petroleum.

Ramesh Pokhriyal'Nishank' resigned from his post, and Dharmendra will take over.

In addition to Textiles and Consumer Welfare, Piyush Goyal will hold the Ministry of Commerce. Smriti Irani, who will be in charge of the Women and Child Ministry, will be replaced by Goyal.
