Odisha Police destroys 3,000 kg of seized ganja

Bhubaneswar: On Saturday, the Odisha Police destroyed 3,270 kg of illegal marijuana that had been found in many cases.

"The drugs were destroyed at a designated incinerator in the presence of scientific officers of the state forensic science laboratory and members of State Pollution Board," a Special Task Force official told the media. "Following due procedure laid down by Orissa High Court and on the decision of drug disposal committee led by SP, Special Task Force (STF), Bhubaneswar, the drugs were destroyed at a designated incinerator."

The Odisha Police have begun a significant campaign against narcotics in recent years, focusing particularly on ganja (cannabis/marijuana/weed) and brown sugar.
