Dhenkanal: An unidentified miscreant shot at a worker employed by a Tata Steel vendor on Monday at Talabahali road in Odisha's Dhenkanal district's Kantabania police limits.
Ravi Kumar, the victim, worked for Rakesh Kashyap and Company, a vendor of Tata Steel Meramandali. He was shot in the head and was sent to the district headquarters hospital in Angul in severe condition.
According to authorities, the assailant opened fire on Ravu as he was walking home from work. Locals rescued him and transported him to the hospital.
While the motive for the attack is unknown, authorities have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
